Jagsonpal started from humble beginnings as a non-corporate entity, founded by Mr. Jagmohan Singh Kochhar in 1964. Fourteen years later, in 1978 Jagsonpal was set up as a private limited company.
In 1986 Jagsonpal went public on the BSE with an issue of 17.76 lakh (One hundred thousand) shares. In 1994 the company was listed on the NSE with the issue of zero coupon fully convertible debentures raising its capital to Rs. 3.27 crore. In 2004 Jagsonpal increased its capitalization by issuing bonus shares in the ratio of 3:1. The face value of the share was split to Rs. 5 per share. The present share capital of the company stands at Rs. 1309 lakh (one hundred thousand).
The original promoters of the company currently hold of 65.8% of the total equity. Jagsonpal has been in the family for three generations growing aggressively and striving to realize its mission – to spread health and healing in the world.
